Keep it clean!

As we all know (hopefully) the modern man looks after his image. Your face is a big part of your image so keeping it fresh and squeaky clean is a must!  I've trialled 3 skincare products over the past few days, to clarify these are products that I bought completely with my own pennies from Boots (currently on 3 for 2). No donations or sneaky bribes have occurred here, these are 100% my opinions.

Product 1 is from the men's Botanics collection from Boots and it is the Men's Eye Roll-On (£6.99 - Boots). The mornings are getting darker and waking up is becoming a mission, I wanted something that would refresh my eyes and cool them, ultimately making opening them in the mornings an easier task. The product contains ginseng which naturally revitalises the skin, it operated with a metal ball in the top that rolls the product onto the skin, something which unfortunately let the product down when I first used it. The product was coating the ball and sticking onto the ball rather than being distributed onto the skin, however, after cleaning it off and starting again it worked. The product is applied morning and night and seems to be working well as far as I can tell.

Product 2 is my current favourite. It is the Spot-on Roll-on from Garnier's PureActive range (£7.99 - Boots)In my eyes this is some kind of wonder product, I have problematic skin, it goes through phases of being super clear and then phases of annoying break outs. The way this works is as soon as you feel a ghastly spot coming on, you roll the product over the spot, not only does the cool metal ball soothe the skin but the product contains HerbaSoothe which works well at reducing the redness of a spot and eventually dries it out. After using this for just 2 days I really noticed the results starting to show, spots were visibly reduced and residual marks had pretty much gone. Well done Garnier, very impressive!

The final product is another one from the Garnier PureActive range, it's the anti-blackhead deep pore wash (£2.65 - Boots).  This is a micro-bead exfoliating face wash that Garnier recommend for 'Oily skin prone to imperfections'. I actually found this product somewhat disappointing, after using it for 3 days I found that it leaves an oily feel to my skin, I don't know if this is normal as essentially this is unclogging your pores, however I just don't like the way it leaves my skin feeling after use. Even now, after using it this morning, my face is left with a greasy feel to it.  The product is good though, I did notice after the first use that my pores looked visibly smaller however it is still tainted by the greasy feel that it leaves behind.

What do you think? Have you tried any of the products and did they work for you? Comment below or Tweet me.

See you next time!
